What this site collects, why, where it is kept, and how to make it stop.
Who is responsible
Vayalis, 78 avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France, is the data controller for this site. Questions go to contact@wtfisai.blog.
What is collected
- Newsletter. Your first name and email address, given by you in a form, so the weekly email can be sent and can greet you by name. They are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure and passed to the email service that sends the newsletter. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the sending list.
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message, kept for one year so a reply can be sent and a conversation can be followed.
- Technical logs. Cloudflare keeps short lived request logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the site. They are not used to profile readers.
- Theme preference. If you pin light or dark, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Audience measurement
Traffic is measured with a first party tool operated by Vayalis. It counts pages and referrers without cookies and without building a profile of individual readers.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. The theme preference above uses local storage, which is not a cookie and is not sent to any server.
Where the data lives and for how long
Newsletter contacts stay as long as you are subscribed. Contact messages are deleted after one year. Request logs are kept by Cloudflare for a few days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what the site holds about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to its use. Write to contact@wtfisai.blog and you will get an answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
